Pierre Sardain has
over fourteen years of experience in graphic design.
He received formal training at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Toulouse, France (School
of Fine Arts of the University of Toulouse), where he earned the equivalent of
a B.F.A. in Graphic Design & Communication in 1989. He graduated with honors,
with an emphasis in graphic design, packaging, communication and advertising.
He started working as a professional graphic designer in 1990 for a company in
Toulouse, France called AB7 Industries, which manufactures and distributes a
wide range of chemical-based products products for home, garden, pool, aquarium
and more. Over the course of eight years, he was promoted to art director and
graphic studio manager. Among his multiple assignments and responsibilities
while working at AB7, he created a in-house graphic design studio, initiated
and implemented a corporate website project starting in 1994, oversaw the implementation
of TV and magazine advertising strategy in collaboration with advertising agencies,
designed in-store marketing displays, and managed the design and packaging of
five brand lines that included more than 1,000 products.
From 1998 to 2003, he was an art director for Harmonia Mundi, USA, an independent
music label based in West Los Angeles, where he oversaw the production of a wide
range of marketing materials, including magazine ads, on-site marketing materials,
two monthly sales catalogs and three corporate websites.
From 2000-2003, he attended the FEMBA (Fully Employed MBA) program at the Anderson
School at UCLA. He completed his MBA in June 2003 with an emphasis in marketing
and business strategy.
He lives in Lawrenceville, NJ with his wife and two sons. |
